Too often, politicians believe government knows best. History shows otherwise.
As thinkers like Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman, and Thomas Sowell recognized, no government can ever possess the knowledge, creativity, and insight of millions of free people making decisions for themselves.
Real prosperity comes from individuals, families, workers, entrepreneurs, and consumers—not from central planners in distant government offices.
That is why I believe in lower taxes, local control, economic freedom, and empowering people to determine their own futures.
As states like California and Illinois continue pursuing higher taxes and more government control, we should be asking an important question:
If the people and businesses creating jobs and opportunity leave, who will be left to pay for the ever-growing cost of government?
The answer isn’t more control from Springfield. The answer is freedom, opportunity, and trust in the people.
