Getting Budget Priorities Back on Track

The General Assembly has one more week to pass a new state budget before the May 31st deadline. Under the Pritzker administration, more than $3 billion has been spent on services for migrants and illegal immigrants in recent years, while services for our most vulnerable citizens remain chronically underfunded and underserved. Democrats’ sanctuary state policy has cost Illinois taxpayers billions and made our communities less safe. House Republicans continue to fight for immigration reform and a state budget that prioritizes the needs of Illinois working families and seniors over illegal immigrants.
