Representative McLaughlin’s Office has been mailing out letters to some residents in the 52nd District regarding unclaimed cash or assets that are being held for them by the Illinois Treasurer’s office. A few people have inquired if this letter is real — and it most DEFINITELY is!! We are working with the State Treasurer’s I-Cash program, which is currently holding more than 3.5 billion dollars in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these lost funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs. Property is returned at no cost with the proper identification.
