Republicans Win on Override of Pritzker’s Executive Authority

The IL Dept. of Public Health re-filed an emergency rule on Monday, Feb. 14, to require the expired school masking mandate to go back into effect. This issue was taken up today and stricken down by a bi-partisan group of legislators on JCAR. Even if the TRO is lifted, IDPH cannot reinstate that rule because it has been suspended by the legislature. It is time to move on and allow students and schools to return to normal and begin the process of repairing the damage that has been done during the last 23 months on a local level.
